How To Make Oat Milk

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
6 1/2 cups water
pinch of salt
Instructions:
  1. Add all ingredients to a large clean bowl and soak over night covered with a cloth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a blender and blend thoroughly (about 2 minutes).
  3. Strain the milk through a fine sieve or muslin cloth into a bowl.
  4. Place in a storage container with a lid and refrigerate.
  5. Will keep for several days.  Shake before using.
Notes:
  • You can create a plain milk to use in recipes such as Mix-It-Up Creamy Pasta Surprise or a sweet milk to use in recipes such as Mix-It-Up Muffins.
  • A high powered blender, such as Vitamix or Blentec, will produce better results.
