Ingredients:
1/2 to 1 lb ground meat of choice
(good choices include ground beef, turkey, and chicken)
1/4 cup chopped onion of choice (optional)
1 to 2 Tbsp chopped garlic (optional)
3 to 4 cups chopped vegetables of choice
(good choices include bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, asparagus, broccoli, and mushrooms)
1 to 2 cups cooked grain of choice
(good choices include brown rice, quinoa, and wheat berries)
1/2 to 1 tsp salt, to taste
Instructions:
1. Add raw ground meat to a large sauce pan and begin browning.  Add salt, onion and garlic to beef (all optional).
2. When meat has browned, add remaining chopped vegetables and continue sauteing.  Depending on the dryness of your meat, you may need to add a little water or oil of choice to the pan for sauteing.
3. When the meat is browned and the vegetables are cooked to desired level, add cooked grain to the mixture.
Notes:
  • Additional seasonings could be added to taste
