Easy & Fun ways to add powerful nutrition to your life!
I comb through the scientific research on natural foods & disease prevention, then I choose effective ingredients and use them to create tasty Nourishing Blends just for you.
What are Nourishing Blends?
Nourishing Blends are similar to spice blends - you use them to flavor your food and beverages. What's special about Nourishing Blends is that they are designed with health in mind just as much as flavor, so you are also giving your body a boost of powerful nutrients. They are made with powdered fruits, vegetables, and spices that also bring colorful fun to your table.
We currently offer five Full Body Blends, designed to nourish your entire body, and seven Natural Flavors, designed to bring safe (and beneficial) fun to treats.

Nutrition is a natural and powerful way to improve your health! You can prevent, manage, and even reverse some disease with diet and lifestyle!
For most of us - this is not shocking news. We know we should eat more fruits & veggies and less bad stuff, but for some reason it seems harder than it should be.

Nourishing Blends are here to help...
Less Waste
|
Nourishing Blends have a much longer shelf-life than fresh fruits and veggies, so you never have to worry about wasting them or having to throw them out. In fact, Nourishing Blends would make a great doomsday prepper food for added nutrition when fresh fruits and veggies are not available.

Here are two examples of the studies used to choose ingredients:
A study of 45 people with heart disease (nearly half had previously suffered heart attacks), were divided into two groups. One group was given 8 ounces of pomegranate juice daily and the other group given a placebo juice. After three months the pomegranate juice group had a 17% increase in blood flow to the heart, while the placebo juice group had an 18% decrease in blood flow.
A study of 18 people with rheumatoid arthritis found that the people who consumed curcumin (found in turmeric) for two weeks reported a reduction in morning swelling and stiffness, with an increase in the ability to perform everyday tasks.

How do I add them to my life?
Simply stir 1/2 tsp to 1 Tbsp of a Nourishing Blend into your coffee, yogurt, smoothie, and more. You can also create colorful, yummy baked goods.
The amount you use is completely up to you. 1 Tbsp of a Nourishing Blend is the equivalent of 1 - 2 servings of a super-foods. I personally use 1 Tbsp in my Disease Prevention Smoothies, but if I'm adding it as a nutritious treat to my yogurt, ice cream, or fruit dip then I tend to add less. 1/2 tsp seems to be the perfect amount for adding to coffee. You can't go wrong - remember, "When it comes to nutrition, every little bite helps!"
Dissolving:
With room temperature or cold drinks, you might want to start by adding your Nourishing Blend to a bit of hot water, shake or stir, then add that to the rest of your drink. You will probably need to shake it occasionally if adding it to a cold beverage and drinking it slowly. Some of the spices do not always completely dissolve, so if texture is an issue for you, then smoothies, yogurts, and baked goods might work best for you.
Baking:
I have found that recipes that already have powder in them (such as cocoa powder) are easiest – you can simply replace some of the powder with a Nourishing Blend. I have also replaced some of the flour with a Nourishing Blend with successful results. Have fun and I would love to hear about your results!
I will be adding more recipes to this site as I enjoy them in my own life. Email Linda@NourishUCafe.com for more information.
